This month the U.S. Department of Commerce slapped hefty anti-dumping duties against several Chinese color-television producers such as Hisense. The duties will not be finalized until late May when the US rules on whether their tv industry has really been hurt by the imports. Hisense has reacted by increasing production of digital tv products. Several Chinese tv producers have said they will file a court case with the US Court of International Trade if the duties are finalized. EPA/MICHAEL REYNOLDS
